It has been brought to my attention that someone at my job used stealh surveillance software to access information from my pc at home. I believe this was carried out in the form of a false support personnel patch. I wish to pursue this invasion of my privacy with the proper legal authority, however, I'm not sure which/what law enforcement agency has the capability to investigate this intrusion. Do I bring my CPU to the local PD or contact the county prosecutor's office? Thanks.
Not to diminish your sense of violation, but what harm did you experience from this access of your PC?
Most departments are overwhelmed with cases and unless you suffered they are unlikely to tackle your case. I think you might be better served contacting an attorney experienced in e-discovery and a private computer forensic examiner unless there was serious harm.
