Hi!
I have worked in the IT field, completed an A.S. in accounting, along with other work experience, but I am currently unemployed. I am trying to find an internship in my area to hone my computer skills while I obtain a computer forensics certificate, with the final goal of becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner. I am looking for contacts to discuss a possible internship in or near Boston, MA. Do any or you have suggestions and any contact info? Would greatly appreciate your help! I do feel that the only way I will become gainfully employed at the end of this is by becoming better skilled in the day to day work of fraud examination and/or computer forensics and network security. Thank you for any help in this matter.

If you are looking to be a Certified Fraud Examiner you would be better served looking to accounting practices for an internship. Have you been to the ACFE site to look at their career guidance?

Your suggestion sounds good and I will look into it.

I thought that it would be best to come from my strong suit of IT knowledge and experience and bring in my accounting background when needed.

Do you have any suggestions as to who in my area would be most interested in my background and approachable for an internship. You can reply here or send any information to mdeac04 (at) gmail.com. I would be thankful for any other tips that would help me in my search.
Thank you for your help!
