Hi,
A friend has designed some software that i have tried and tested and works like a dream.
Now the thing is, i have been approached by a friend who suspects that her partner is cheating on her, using his PC, ie chating to woman, going on sites ie Facebook to met these woman, and using MSN, and arranging meetings.
OK, now my question is i thought mmm i could make a living out of this, the software is great, its undetected.
It scans his emails logs, what hes writing, giving images every 1min of pages hes viewing. etc, its does so much, it would monitor over a few day or week what this guy is doing.
And it emails reports daily to me, and when got evidence, i will uninstall it.
I don't want to go too much indepth.
Well, my question is i live in the UK and if anyone out there knows what things i need to cover myself, ie If he has online Banking it would give me all his details not what im interested in, but it emails everything to me, passwords to sites hes logged onto,MSN everything i would need something to protect me,cus when she confronts him with the evidence of which would only be what she is looking for nothing else and deleted everytime the log.
He could ask questions about me, about how she has found out, i need to know do i need a certain license, something written up for her to sign and what if the PC isnt hers and his.
Also what happens if this guy has been visiting other sites, ie to do with children what would you do? and where would i stand on this, cus i couldnt just stand by and let him carry on.
Anyway i thought maybe i could help a few out with there cheating partners, and also what about employers whos employees internet abuse while working.
Anyway its so long now i hope i havent bored you and youve fall asleep.
Any advice or help would be great. Where i stand with UK law, etc. If i need to get a contract drawn up what would i put in it.

You say this is his PC, if this PC is not also your friend's PC then you can really get yourself in trouble as you are basically hacking into his PC.
I would suggest examining the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Quite simply claire36 you are acting unlawfully. You do not have permission to access his computer in contravention of Computer Act. If he finds out you are likely to be prosecuted.
Whether or not you want all the details from his computer, they are available to you without consent or permission. Remove the software you have installed and all traces if possible.
Seems like quite a lot of work for suspecting someone being unfaithful, why not just ask him?
