Can an FTK report be created that doesn't contain graphic images? A client is asking for a copy of the report but since there's child pornography on the computer, LE won't release a copy.

Also, FTK produces a full file listing in an Access database format. If we were able to obtain a copy of the FTK report, would the computer used to view the report require having a copy of Access, or does FTK provide a runtime embedded with the report?

Thanks!

Yes.

The FTK Report is not in Access format, only the file listing database is in Access. The report is usually in HTML.

Sorry for not being clearer, that's what I meant, the file listing db. If we were given the full report minus graphics, could we also open the full file list db without Access on our computer? Seems to me that years ago I was given a case file and it had the small Access runtime built in so any computer could view the db.

The file listing database in MS Access format is a feature of FTK 1.x. Version 2.x and later output a CSV or HTML file listing.

Oh good, so my memory wasn't playing tricks on me. Weird that the govt couldn't afford to be on a later version, eh? Wink

Thanks for the info, you've been a tremendous help!
