I am less than 6 months from graduating from DeVry with my degree in computer forensics. I was wondering if there was anything I could do, independent studies, or whatever I can do to help land a job right out of college.

I have been looking at certifications, but they all cost so much to get. I am just looking for some advice guys. I recently had to move from atlanta back to my hometown, a small town in south ga. So my best effort would be to try to land a job/internship in Tally, FL. any advice would be great.

I am currently in school and wondering f you were able to find anything right out of college and so what were the steps that you had to take. I understand majority of Computer Forensics investigators want you to have experience, but how do you obtain the experience?

My suggestion is get a job in IT, work on troubleshooting and scripting skills, try to work into some incident response and eDiscovery scenarios, keep looking at forensic jobs postings and try to gain those skills they seek.
