Ok I have a question lets say i have case where my clients Ex-husband has posted some nudes pictures of here in facebook and other webpages. He has posted this pictures on his closest friends and family members. 12 hours later he deletes this pictures from facebook giving no time to facebook analyze the reported pictures. However I contact facebook with a judicial order and gives me the ip addres how can i track down this computer IP address.

By using a WHOIS-tool you can finf out which ISP this IP belongs to.
This will however not give you the person who was using this IP at the date/time of the incident.

WHOIS is a standard command in Linux (Terminal).
You can also use online tools like: http :// whois . domaintools . com/
If you google you can finf many more.

To find out who was using the IP on the given date/time you need to contact the ISP, but if you are not law enforcement they will probably not help you with a request like that.[/b]
