As a forensic community I think it is important that we come together to discuss the overall shortfalls in the community and perhaps develop a list of issues that need to be addressed within the community. This will raise awareness for programs that are currently under development and bring attention to those areas that need more effort to increase the capability within the community. For example, we are all aware that volatile information, such as that retainined in memory can provide critical information to the forensic professional. I am aware of several individuals working to further refine and explore this area, but as of now, forensic memory analysis is still lacking consistent output, formatting and capability.

I would like ot hear your thought son additional shortfalls within the forensic community.

Apparently, there are few willing to discuss this...

If this is something that you still wish to discuss, feel free to contact me offline...
